Mohammed Aamir Hussain Khan was born on March 14, 1965. He is an Indian actor, filmmaker, director, and TV talk-show host.
During his thirty-year long career in Hindi films, he established himself as one of the most famous and influential actors of Indian cinema.

Early life and family
Mohammed Aamir Hussain Khan was born on March 14, 1965, in Bombay. His parents are the film producer Tahir Hussain and Zeenat Hussain. Some of his family members are part of the Hindi film industry as well, such as his late paternal uncle, Nasir Hussain, who worked as a producer-director. He is also related to the philosopher and politician Abul Kalam Azad through his grandmother.
Mohammed has three siblings, a brother Faisal Khan who is also an actor, and two sisters, Farhat and Nikhat Khan.
As a child actor, he appeared on screen in two smaller roles. When he was eight, he appeared in a famous song in the Nasir Hussain-directed film called Yaadon Ki Baaraat.
He attended J.B. Petit School for pre-primary education, but he later switched to St. Anne’s High School. However, he finished his ninth and tenth grade at the Bombay Scottish School Mahim.
Khan loved playing tennis. He even became a state-level champion.

When he was 16 years old, Khan took part in the experimental process of making a 40-minute silent film, Paranoia.

Career
His first appearance on screen was in his uncle’s film Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973).
Then, as an adult, he appeared in Holi (1984) and then Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988).
He earned a National Film Award for his appearance in Raakh (1989). Khan also appeared in Dil (1990) and Raja Hindustani (1996).
In 1999, the actor founded Aamir Khan Productions. Their first film,
Lagaan (2001) was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film.
After a four-year break from the screen, he returned to portray leading roles, like in the 2006 box-office hits Fanaa and Rang De Basanti.
The first film he directed was Taare Zameen Par (2007), and it became a huge success.
However, his biggest global success came with a thriller called Ghajini (2008). Some other famous films include the comedy-drama 3 Idiots (2009). Dhoom 3 (2013), and PK (2014), and Dangal (2016).
